It depends on alot of things. if you love the sport enough, nothing should stop you form playing. You should work so hard, that he wont be able to have trouble with you. If your just starting, and your not good, find a new sport. But tyr to stick it out because sports are never fun untill your good, and your not good until you have some hard times.

If it's a personal clash, I think you should tough it out. Sports is supposed to teach you how to get along with even troublesome people, and it's too bad that one of them is your coach.
If the trouble gets into violence or sexual areas, talk to your school counsellor. You might talk to the counsellor anyway and see if you can get the problem into some perspective.
But quitting a sports team just for pride kind of defeats the whole purpose of being on a sports team. There's no "I" in "team" like they say. You are supposed to swallow your pride and do what's good for the group.
One more thing to think about: do you need this activity for your college apps? Do you have something that will look just as good?
If you are having trouble sleeping, or getting depressed about this, you need to talk to the coach or other people about this. Good luck!

Tough it out. You'll earn your coach's respect by doing so and will show that you are not a quitter. The pride issue may be in your own mind and hot the coach's.
You need to ask yourself the question "why am I having trouble with the coach"? Be honest with yourself and try to understand both sides of the difficulty.
