What I can't figure out is who is behind these ridiculous rumors. What do they think people would have to gain from this? Bush was making plans to invade Iraq even before 9-11, and Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11. Even the most liberal anti-Bush people have never suggested this. Apparently it comes from individuals addicted to conspiracy theories. Isn't the obvious truth awful enough?
Besides that, try applying just a little imagination and logic. Running some sort of operation to pull off 9-11 makes pulling off the Kennedy assassination look like a cheap card trick. Can you imagine the hundreds, if not thousands, of people at various levels who would all have to play a role? And to think that to this day no one would come forward with the story? Not a single leak in five years? Not at all likely.

As much as I dislike the Bush administration, I do not think they would do anything like this. They are misguided - not inherently evil.

It's sad to even think it but then many people felt that Lyndon Johnson had John Kennedy killed.
