Not knowing what comedies you have seen or not seen, the only way I can find out which you have missed (really funny ones or otherwise) is to consult with a prescient, prognosticating, mountain troll.

Non-Animated: Red Dwarf, Scrubs, League of Gentleman,, Father Ted.
Animated: Futurama, Invader Zim, Robot Chicken, Monkey Dust.
Stand Up: Lee Evans
Tried to give some varietym but still tailored to my ense of humour. Try all of the ones you haven't seen and try to give them a chance to see if you like some of them.
Anime can also be funny sometimes but if you decide on that I recommend asknig another question on which ones are good.

Dad's Army is a classic British comedy. I bought the entire collection of DVDs from the link below. I highly recommend them if you haven't seen the comedy before.

Since this is books and authors I will mention books and authors. I highly recommend Dave Barry and especially Carl Hiaasen. He is hilarious. I especially loved Lucky Me. Funniest book I ever read. Now there is a new author out there -- Christopher Moore who writes some hilarious and twisted vampire books. His latest is You Suck and it he awesome. I love to read things that make me laugh.
