What kind is he? How big will he get? He's 3 years old and about 7 inches long now. He came with my 30 gallon tank I just bought.

I know river catfish can reach 300+ pounds, I just wondered if he might be some kind of dwarf breed or something. I'm not getting attached. I'm sure he'll need more room some day.

Need a little more info. Do the stripes go from head to tail or up and down? Does he have whiskers? If there is anyway you can put a pic of him on photobucket and put a link here that would help a lot or you could email me a picture to magicman116@yahoo.com

How big he will get depends on what type he is some get very large while others are quite small.See if you can find his picture on planet catfish,it should give you some information.

Catfish get real big. the minimum is 55 gallons. Post a picture.

I've heard that fish only get big enough for the tank they're in.
