They never should have made it illegal in the first place.

Alcohol and tobacco are much worse for a person and you can buy this on every street corner.

I think the local state and federal government need to get together and form some kind of standard.. might be considered partial legalization.
Every state has their individual own laws.. this system is so full of flaws. I dont see marijuana as any worse of a 'gateway' drug than alcohol, tobacco or even caffiene. Would be interesting to see a controlled study done on the effects of driving while stoned, drivng while drunk.. and driving while talking on a cell phone..
Medicinal marijuana should be legalized nationally, but the requirements should be strict. Kids that show up to school stoned because they claim to have a cold is pathetic.
Mass-scale manufacture and distribution is a threat to public safety and should certainly remain outlawed.
Personal use.. I see no harm in it.. if people want to have a plant in their basement or back yard.. so what?
I have not seen a single fact-based presentation that explained how legalization would have a lasting negative effect on the country. Obviously, it will take time for a compromise to be found and fair laws to be enacted.
But where should that line be set?
I dont think anybody should profit from the drug. So make sales and purchase illegal. But legalize possession. The government spends more time, energy, effort and money on resources fighting the war on marijuana that would certainly be better used elsewhere.
And, no.. I do not smoke marijuana.. I grew out of it 10 years ago.. haven't touched it since.
There's my opinion ... have fun with it :)

I don't smoke weed but have no problem with any adults that do. If they can legalize alcohol, they should legalize marijuana...so I will give you a HAY YAY!!
