Again, the petitioners don't know what they're talking about. Has anyone talked to a Newfoundlander about this issue? Do you know that the overpopulation of seals has destroyed fisheries and damaged the ecosystem of the Atlantic? It's easier to anthropomorphize seals than fish, that's the only reason there's these petitions. I don't hate PETA but they need to do their research. There's too many whack jobs in that organization.

Hmmm .. Have you considered starting a Literacy for Seals Campaign? Let's get Congress to approve spending millions of dollars on animal trainers and pens and paper to teach them all how to read and write.. so they can stand up for themselves and sign their own petitions..
Nooo .. that money would be better used feeding the hungry HUMANS that wander the country in search of their next meal ..
And how many trees would be needlessly slaughtered in the process to make the paper needed to teach the seals?
No, I dont hate PETA.. Yes, I do love nature..
I guess I have better things in life to be obsessively concerned about than the political wrangling and endless frustrations of fighting moral contradictions in the laws of life and reversing the detrimental effects of the food chain. My apologies.
Do you find it frustrating that I spent more time writing this than it would have taken me to click on the link and sign the petition? Ahhh.. I love irony.
