Axel, your ignorance is showing.
It is not ok to discriminate, period. But some argue that fat people "choose" to be that way and gay people are born that way. I am sure there are exceptions in both cases.
When asking my ex husband about his homosexuality, he asked me "Why would I choose to be gay?"
So ... why would anybody CHOOSE to be fat? Overweight is caused by many reasons - including emotional disorders taht lead to comfort eating or glandular disorders that lead to slow metabolism.
No one would choose to be fat, or gay, or ugly, or ignorant. Some of these things can be changed, but until someone actually experiences being fat (AXEL) they can't know how hard it is to lose weight. It is unfair that your friends can have a burger and shake and you must settle for a salad while you crave the burger. It is unfair that a skinny man can wolf down four Big Macs and never gain an ounce while some can just look at the food and gain.
Those who look down upon others for their differences are onlyshowing just how insecure, ignorant and unhappy they are with themselves. That's why they have to be mean to others to make themselves feel better - AXEL.

Fat bigotry is the last pc prejudice. I suppose because most people don't realize that genetics has a great deal to do with ones body size and type. Thus, being fat has become a moral failing in the eyes of a lot of people. The stereotype is that all fat people get and stay fat because they eat "bad foods" and get no exercise despite the fact that is far from true of most fat people.
Like sexual orientation, gender and race, we all are dealt a certain genetic hand. How we live our lives has a great deal to do with how we show the hand we are dealt. What works to keep one person at an accepted size does not work for all of us.

Discrimination is wrong against any group. Discrimination only shows the insecurity of the discriminator. If other are bad they must be good.

who says it's OK to discriminate against "fat" people? it's not OK to discriminate against ANYONE based on race, gender, orientation, religion, culture, age, looks or weight.
