My dad's doctor told him to wait until he feels comfortable enough to have sex. Also, use some form of birth control until the doc determines he's completely sterile.

I speak from experience and usually atleast a couple of weeks his swelling and inital pain will last around 2-5 days but then he should allow time for the internal surgery to do some healing as well. I will also for warn you the first time doesn't always work I had to go back myself and the strange thing was that my wife had a feeling I should have it checked again best to get atleast three negative for a positiv e result remember it will take awhile for alot of the old sperm to exit his tubes so if you do anything use condoms if you do not want a surprise.

Be patient it does not take to long for it to heal I was on the go with the wife probably within the first month also remember it will help him to have sex to flush his tubes of the old sperm probably best to wait 2-3 months before he goes to get tested and a few rounds of sex.

As far as the pain, that is up to the individual. I had no PAIN, just some tenderness. Got clipped on Friday, went to a BBQ on Saturday and back to work on Monday (wow! it's been 30 years this month!) The doc advised not making love (does anyone use that term any more? HAD SEX! that's so cold sounding and sounds like you're paying for it) until I was certified clear...30 days. I had 2 cm cut out of the tubes, cauterized and not just tied back.

My ex husband waited about 1 month plus he did some work on his own a couple of times before to make sure he got out the little guys that might not be blank. Plus it was to make sure he could handle the feeling before getting both parties all worked up.

You should be able to get the best advice from the doctor. Usually the standard is 6 - 8 weeks, but also depends on the individual.

Well speaking from experience I had no problem as soon as the pain subsided. Meaning all stitches were removed and had healed. When the external stitches are healed the internal catarization will still tender to gentle squeezing of the specific area.

You need to wait to make sure the test comes back with zero sperm count. Then you can go ahead. Otherwise, don't be tempted until then.....or you could wind up pregnant. Ewww!

I waited about one day, it depends on how he feels down there. There is no reason he doesn't get started when he wants. Keep in mind that you can still get pregnant from him for awhile. There are still little guys down there and he needs to work them out of his system...that is where you help out. Have fun...

Start having sex again as soon as he is ready. Oh, do you mean without using condoms? I used them for at least 6 months afterward.
