Why don't they hit on anyone when they are married and why do they often choose married women to hit on?

Because they are idiots. They have their morals all wrong. It makes my blood boil over a married guy that hits on any woman. It's just so wrong. If they are not happy at home, and can't get things fixed, then they need to go. Why waste his mates time and energy on someone that is not there for them. People need to take their vows more seriously or don't even get married. Men hit on married woman so they don't have to worry about the other woman wanting more then just sex. No strings attached crap.

I think a married woman is more likely to hit on, but it could be the same for a married man. Can't answer as to why it is a double standard, but it is NOT okay to hit on a married man, especially with the knowledge that he is married.

I guess they think married women are more mature. They won't be out on the streets that much getting sex from a guy. They think of just having sex both the married women/man, because they might be lacking intimacy in their marriage. That's the main reason why people have affairs.

Married or not it's never okay to hit a woman. She need to move on. The longer she stays the worse the fights will get.

It's the thrill of the chase for them. They want someone they can't readily have. Also, they have this false sense of security in that the married woman is deemed "safe" because she's already married. He doesn't have to commit to her.

They don't always. Sometimes they hit on the single secretary at work that's HALF their age....(I know, it happened to me.) But don't blame it all on men here. A "cheater" is a cheater is a cheater. Once everybody figures that out, they end up miserable LONELY old people.

But it all a misunderstanding. It was all innocent. We are both married.
Plus if the woman responds in like she is less likely to tell his spouse because he could say she started it to her spouse.
Single people are too unpredictable.

I think it's a safe way for them to flirt.
They probably are thinking that the woman wouldn't risk her marriage for a fling.
