How many of you had morning sickness? Did your mother have it? When you define your morning sickness, did you have JUST nausea, or did you throw up? If you had just nausea, was it mild or severe?

I had hyperemesis gravida--morning sickness with vomiting so severe it causes signifigant weight loss. It was difficult to keep anything down and I threw up many times every day. I lost over 30 pounds before it finally cleared up in my fifth month of pregnancy, but some woman have it all 9 months. Dehydration and malnutrition are issues with this.

My mom and grandma did not have any memorable morning sickness, so in my case it was not inherited.

I did...it started at about eight weeks and lasted till the 13th week of pregnancy...then back again on the 16th week and lasted for 2 more weeks...ending once and for all at 18 weeks...

I had nausea most of the time...threw up about a total of 4 or 5 times the whole time I had morning sickness...had headaches...depending on the day...sometimes its mild sometimes its severe...but it really hit me at NIGHT 90% of the time...so it wasn't really MORNING sickness for me

With #1 I had it very very mild. Just slight nausea. With #2 it's twice as bad. I'm nauseated all day long if I'm not nibbling on crackers. No throwing up, just feel like I'm going to. I'd say it's moderate. My mom never had any morning sickness at all.

I had nausea. I would wake up every morning and dry heave 2 times. I only threw up a few times. It was totally gone by 13 weeks. My mom had morning sickness with both of her pregnancies, but it lasted much longer.

I had nausea and vomiting with my first two. My third I had nausea only, some vomiting toward the end of my pregnancy ( I don't think that was morning sickness, just no more room in my tummy). This time around just nausea again.(so far)
My mom had nausea and vomiting.

I was more nauseas with my first one.. i only threw up a few times and it only lasted till about week12.. WIth my second, I was sick only if i would go past 2 hours of without putting something in my mouth.
Now with my third.. i was sick from week 4 till week 14 with severe morning sickness. I would throw up from morning till night. It got soo bad i was always going to the Er getting rehydrated. They even put me in and threatened to put a picline in me. I went from 139 to 118 in the first 3 months.
They were all three boys.

My mom was sick with my brother and one of my sisters not soo bad. me and my other sis she was sick really bad.

Every pregnancy is different and it varies from person to person.

It can also vary pregnancy to pregnancy. With my first two pregnancies I barely had any type of morning sickness. But with my 3rd I threw my guts up (sorry i know tmi, just saying) So it just all depends on alot of factors. Hope your one of the lucky ones and skips the morning sickness when you get pregnant!

The main cause of morning sickness is a combination of issues related to the chemical changes your body is going through. Mix a pinch of nutmeg powder with a table spoon of gooseberry juice, and take it thrice a day. Sip little by little ginger juice mixed with honey before you get out of bed.
