Check some parts websites like autozone or advance for the cost of the struts. Some cost as much as $300 each but average cost is about $50-$100 per strut. The $600 estimate is actually quite reasonable considering the struts will probably cost at least $300-$400. Struts can be a pain to install too. If you can provide the specific type of vehicle, I can give you an estimated time to do the work. Good luck!

OOOO yea, Opened split and ripped. Call around to other independent shops. Most Monroe or K Y B struts cost $50.-$60.00 on line with no sales tax. Consider shipping . I just payed $100.00 to have two rear struts installed at a Monroe Dealership. I had to purchase the struts however @$ 62.00 each. Independent shops will replace them less expensive than chain shops. Any Advance Auto store has these two brands of struts. Good Luck!
