True or false: Slavery was permitted under the Articles of Confederation but not the original Consititution.

To put it simply it was illegally legal

The constitution does state that all men are created equal, but African Americans were not considered 'men' in the original constitution. My facts are bit fuzzy, but i think it was the virginia agreement, or something like that which considered black men to count as 2/3 a person when counting population. You can look this up. Sorry I wasn't more help.

That is True. The constitution states all men are created equal. In the articules of the confederation states, the south, slaves were not considered equal to white men.

true. the constitution states that every body is equal. so in the constitutoin slavery was not permitted

I don't know the answer for sure. However Federal Law cancels out State Law. If that rule was true back then, there was probably no Federal Law against slavery! Dunno????
