What is a good website where I can go on to see parts of the city(any city)other than the tourist spots?

I mean any city here or abroad. Like my favorite choice would be Philadelphia or abroad it would be anywhere in Italy. I don't want the official sites like the Chamber Of Commerce or the official town/city site. I want to see if there is a site that would be able to tell me where the locals go and what they do. I,using Philadelphia as an example,I want to know where the locals go to relax and eat and stuff. I wouldn't just want to see Ben Franklin's house or the art museum(which IS a nice museum);in other words,I want to know the local's Philly(or any other town),not the tourist-trap areas. Is there any kind of online database(or catch-all as I like to say)of sites that are purely local(by locals/for locals!!!)?
