i reported my cell phone blackberry pearl as stolen and I got a new sim card on the same day and started using my one of my old cell phone

when I contacted my insurance guys, they were saying that I was not using the pearl on the day i lost the phone or even on the day before i lost the phone.

Is it possible for them to know which cell phone model i was using ???

Yes, they can tell. I agree with the person above.... It sounds like they're suspicious. They are probably assuming that, since you weren't using the phone, you had it at home. And, based upon that assumption, they are probably thinking that you're trying to get a new phone at no cost. At least that's what it seems like to me.

Hi. Yes. But what does your using it or not have to do with losing it? Unless you were using your other phone for a few days. Sounds like they are suspicious.
