Angel by Sarah McLachlan makes me cry because it was played on the radio a lot following September 11, 2001. It just reminds me of the tragic events of that day. The song was also recently used for a commercial asking for donations to the ASPCA. They showed images of animals in the shelter that have been given a second chance because of the ASPCA. The animals had been rescued from abuse. I'm an animal-lover, pet-owner, and pet-sitter, so the song is very sad for me to hear.

It is a Christmas Song.
It is called something shoes.
It is like a story-within a song.
About a boy trying to but shoes for
his mother, who is about to die,
and wow, it makes me cry...
(in the end he gets the shoes)
