I watched him in college play and he was good, but he couldnt play well against good teams, and isnt very accurate. He also seems to not be able to read defenses very well. I am a Browns and a Bears fan, and my Browns have the #3 pick, and I think they are going to take Quinn. I kind of want them to take him, but I just dont know how good hes going to be in the NFL. Everyone thinks hes going to be great, and could possibly be one of the best ever when he retires, but I dont buy it. I hope he does good if my Browns pick him, but I cant help but think hes overrated. Will my Browns even pick him, and what is it that people see in him that convinces them he will be great?

yeah, i'm sorry, but i don't know if you watched the whole season. look up his stats; his QB rating is 146.7 (Booty is 144). He threw for more yards than Booty and JaMarcus Russell. he may have some issues with pressure defense, but that has a lot to do with other problems such as the o line and a somewhat unreliable running game. he's rated fair, and i would agree he's not number one.

i could think of whoever the participant is knows this and would have assembled a team of good those with help from the franchise. I doubt it fairly is going to be a huge deal a minimum of publicly regardless of the undeniable fact that it fairly would be a distraction for a time. however the media will dig for a homophobic remark or a minimum of will purpose familiar deeply non secular gamers who would carry a Biblical have confidence it fairly is inaccurate (ask your self what share newshounds will run directly to Tim Tebow merely in case they'd draw something out of him)....makes for good tale. yet by potential of and super the well-known public and the gamers would be wonderful with it, of direction that participant will could anticipate a undeniable volume of homophobic comments at each away activity. Cant account for the drunks or low existence's who will say something in the event that they think of they'd get under the exterior of an opponent. What you don't understand approximately issues like it rather is that athletes are very disciplined human beings. that's like determining on the gym... all and sundry on the gym is attractive; yet we don't get distracted because of the fact the explanation why we are there first of all is via the fact we are dedicated and disciplined. people who are not do exactly no longer make it that a techniques. And once you're interior the NFL i'm valuable you may concentration on the sport.

I agree with you. Three reasons Troy Smith isn't getting a higher pick against Quinn. First of all he is a little smaller, what they don't see is that it's not the size of the bear in the fight, it'sthe size of the fight in the bear. Second of all he isn't considered a pocket passer. Just beacuse he can turn a bad play good if the pocket collapses doesn't mean he can't pass in the pocket. Lastly, he had one bad game against Florida aftera long break of no games,a key players injury, and the loss of momentum because of an inexperianced defence. He out played Brady Quinn last year in their BCS game, he out played Chris Leak in the Senior Bowl, and he out played Michigan every time he played them. I disagree wit the "experts". Though Troy Smith may not be picked higher than Brady Quinn, he will be a better player. Do people like him because he shares the name Brady with that lucky Michigan basatrd Tom Brady, or because he is tall, not fast, and a Notre Dame quarterback?

He is from Notre Dame and the Media LOVES Notre Dame. He is a pretty boy and the media LOVES a Pretty Boy. He isn't going to be great. Oh and the media is also in love with Charlie Weiss. His stats are padded from playing Service academies, who are there for the noble purpose of preparing to serve the country NOT to play football. Yeah sometimes they get good teams but they still aren't there for that. Quinn is supposedly "NFL ready" so why was he so bad against USC, which is about as close as you are getting to NFL competition in college while Quinn was playing. He is going to be a bust. I laugh at the team that picks him and laugh at the fans that are so in love with him. Worst thing that happens in my view is he is good and proves me wrong. Won't likely happen but if it does big deal, won't be the first time someone comes out of college and ends up being different then how I thought they would. Yet will the Media be willing to admit they were wrong? No they will just keep pushing him as something better then he is because he is a pretty boy and they can't be wrong.

Most people think he will be good just because he played at Notre Dame. He has the Potential to be good, and the Potential to be horrible. We have seen that Brady Quinn lose games he was supposed to win very easily. Brady Quinn could do great things in the Pro's but he could also be the next Rex Grossman... Hot one day, horrible the next.

i used to say he was a bust. now i say it depends upon where he goes in the nfl, what team he'll be on. i have a feeling he'll be in cleveland (from weis to crennel). brady has experience in an nfl system. he's very smart. besides from football, the thing that impressed me most is how he has a double major in college and is graduating a semester early. thats impressive! the downfall is that he hasnt been able to win the big games in college. its a risk, but every drafted player is a risk.

We don't know if he's going to be good or not yet...but he has the potential to be good...but then again Ryan Leaf did too at the time didn't he?

All that aside, I think it depends on the team he gets drafted by and how durable he can be...because he has the skills to get the job done...but he needs receivers, protection, and health.

He was the most prolific passer in college. He can make the short and long throws, plus he had a higher QB rating and more yards than JaMarcus Russell. He's the perfect height/weight for an NFL QB and he's mobile. Trust me on this, Charlie Weis molded him perfectly for the NFL.

i think he will be very good in the nfl and is the most nfl-ready quarterback of the class...he played in a pro-style system in college under a coach who knows what it takes to be a top tier nfl quarterback...also, his decision making is above average and he's apparently stronger and faster than originally thought

He's got most of the QB records at ND...meaning better college stats than Joe Montana, Joe Theisman, Paul Hornung, Angelo Bertelli, Terry Hanratty, etc...any other questions?
