Swiffer works well for occasional dusting of walls and ceilings. It's best to give them a good washing once a year though, that simple dusting won't remove. I wipe my walls down once a year with a damp cloth. I use a solution of water and a Mr. Clean type cleaner. It makes the house smell so good.

if it's just paint, use a damp cloth. chemicals will leave streaking.

i use a cheap sponge mop and just mop the wall's its super fast and also cleans them.
