Well French is classified as a Latin language. However I notice that when most people refer to "Latino" people they speak only of Spanish speaking people in Mexico, "Middle America" and south America. Still it's better to practice some politically correctness when referring to people by ethnic terms.

No, Latins are people from Latium (ancient civilization) while Latinos are of Latin American or spanish speaking descent.
There really are no such people as Latins anymore, the Romans kind of integrated them.

Most people have mixed races that Latino,french etc. Back in the days many people where brought over from different countries to Caribbean islands and Latino countries like puetro rico,cuba etc. So most of them are mixed that why they believe they are latino. Peace

I don't want to offend anyone here. But latins or Italics are not Americanindians. They are descendents of the indo-european tribe called the italics aka latins. All because someone speaks a latin language, doesn't make them latin.
