i read somewhere that if it's pierced in the wrong spot, it could paralyze that side of my face. i really want to get an eyebrow piercing, but now i am scared!!

ok it is true if it is done by a bad piercer they can hit a nerve (there are a lot in your face...... many can cause some areas to become paralyzed if damaged) If you do your homework and talk to your piercer you should be ok..... the thing I have found out after talking to a few folks and my own piercing the eyebrow doesn't have a lot of give and sometimes your body will force the foreign object out.....

Marilyn Hi there are many nerves that control the muscles in your face .. If one was damaged it could cause the connected muscle not to function . And your face would drupe in that area .. Although the chance is of low % . It could and dose happen .. No matter how much experience the person has doing the pierce . They are not a trained medical person or doctor . Also I doubt if those small places even have enough insurance if any to back them up. If something did happen .. So if something goes wrong you are kinda on your own . Good Luck ....

I have never really heard that.... My boyfriend is got his done and he is fine... if you get it done by a professional then its alright they know what they are doing and are tested to do this kind of thing. I know that if the tounge is peirced in the wrong spot that you could bleed to death but i have mine done and it didn't happen to me..so just get it done by a professional and you'll be ok..

maybe there`s a very remote possibility, but going to a reputable, professional piercer will certainly help minimize any chance of that happening...i have my eyebrow pierced & there were no problems whatsoever, & i personally know many people who work doing body mods & who have body mods, & none of them have encountered anything as extreme as paralysis...

Depends on how its done. If they do it wrong then there is a possibility that could happen. Go to a professional.
