He would be sectioned by his behaviour if he was in Britain. He clearly is a danger to himself and all around him. The statements he comes out with make's no sense, he clearly doesnt know the difference between whats real and whats not . His latest statement about the sailors press conference been put up is laughable yet he is so serious when he say's it. And he wonders why there is grave concern about him getting his hands on nuclear capabilities !!! Surely the people of Iran should call for the hospitalisation of this man at once :)

Yes - put him in the same mental institution as Bush - the man (Bush) is such a liability. We have a lot to answer for in the middle east - it wasn't that long ago the UK were shaking Saddam's hand (literally)and supporting their war against Iran -now we have started a war with Iraq - no wonder Iran want to get their own back. The problem is, the younger generation need to get their history books out to get the background!

If he is crazy...he is crazy like a fox.
Right now he represents an archaic, crumbling institution inside Iran--namely Islamic Facisim. He is losing support from other middle eastern countries as well as a majority of the people in the country.
But this loss of power would be reversed If a western power dropped bombs on Iran. Other middle eastern states would rally to support Iran, and Iranians themselves would unify, much as the US did in the wake of September 11.
But no western power is going to bomb them unless they make themselves pretty damn annoying. So he isn't trying to appear sane...he wants to be seen as crazy to solidify his power.

Yea, he's a nutter, but in this case I think he was the figurehead, performing ceremonial duty. He's a pretty good actor, too bad he didn't go into the movies instead of politics. Anyway, he's not the only one responsible for this, probably not even the main one, and we mustn't think that locking him up would solve the problem.

i agree w/putting Ahmadinejad, Bush, Chavez, Kim Jung Il & the "crazy bolivian guy" in a raft & dropping them off somewhere in the pacific, but why not add cheney, rowe, mugabe of the congo, al-bashir of sudan & every damn fundamentalist of every religion who believes that it's ok to kill those who don't believe as you do. They all make me sick.

Just because we don't see things from Iran's point of view, doesn't mean they are crazy.......Horrible. Nasty. Dangerous yes. But Crazy? NO not IMO.
