everyone thought that someone had invited somebody or that somebody was going somewhere,but in reality nobody did and somebody didnt have somewhere to go so they were alone for the holidays!

You probably don't realize how great a question that is. I can remember being alone on holidays and feeling very sad and lonely. I am the only one in my family who hasn't married and has no children. I didn't blame my family for not thinking of me, they had their own families. But if everyone made it a point to make sure that all family members were contacted and invited somewhere, then not only would there be less lonely unhappy people around on holidays, it would go along way to strengthening family binds. i know this one. my daughter and i are staying home alone because my parents are in mo and the rest of the family doesn't care. grandparents are with rest of their kids and g-kids, but not welcome because of step grandmother, and my sister will be w/ her hubby & in-laws
