If you're using Mac OS X, you can use Cyberduck. Its free as well.

you need three things to FTP to your site:

1. IP address or FTP URL
2. Username
3. Password

Your host provider will provide those for you. If you're not sure, check their help section or call them.

usually the ftp to your sight is ftp.whateversite.com <-- or what ever net, org ect
and you need your login and password
Also depends on your host. Your host most likley has somthing on there that tells you your ftp

When you paid for your hosting space on Yahoo! (if you did!) they would have given you the address and other information for your FTP stuff - it'll be something like ftp.yourdomain.com ... with a username and a password for the operation.

You set up your FTP program (like, say, one that's internal to your browser or a program called ws_ftp or Filezilla or FireFTP to connect to that address (ftp.yourdomain.com) then copy files across from your computer to the host. (With that same program you can also do all kinds of stuff like view files on the host or delete files on the host or download files from the host to your computer or delete files on your computer and on, and on...)
