When I'm walking in the states, I measure in miles. When I walked in Austria, I measured in klicks (that's what we called kilometers). After living there for a while, I just picked it up. I'm not sure I would recognize a kilometer now if it came up and introduced itself.

yeah... a mile is a mile, no count while you're utilising, working, walking, skipping, crawling... you probable envisioned incorrect. Mapquest measures distances by ability of the roads 2, so while you're no longer engaged on the streets for the full time the dimensions would be off.

Feet. Yards at most. Don't walk much now, hard to do that without ankle bones, lol. Miles when I was younger.
