Thomas is correct, behind the oven control knob, usually on the front console of the range, is a small screw, usually flat blade type. You'll need a small screwdriver to turn the thing, like one of the advertising ones that clip into your pocket. As he said, move it plus or minus a little then try the oven to see how much you've adjusted the temp. If not enough or too much you can make a further adjustment. It is not dangerous, as you're not messing with the gas flow in any way. All you're doing is adjusting the temperature point at which the oven cycles on and off to maintain a temp.

You need a temperature gauge, then you pull the oven knob off and you should see a screw back in there, you move that plus or minus to what you want. After you adjust it a bit you need to let in heat or cool. do this until you have the correct temmp.

You should have a cert. gas tech make the adjustment because you could have gas problems not stove problems. What these brain surgeons don't tell is if you adjust it wrong it could blow up.

But if you are talking about the oven, what you do is buy a two dollar oven thermometer and use it to calibrate you r oven. Once you figure out the difference you can set your oven knob properly
