I figured it out and I am spending $1500 a year on those damn Starbucks drinks! For $1000 I could buy an espresso maker and be saving money every year.

Also, which drink is your weakness?
I get the lrg. vanilla latte (hot) w/whipped & extra vanilla when it's cold out and a lrg. iced caramel macchiato w/whipped and extra caramel when it's warm out. So unhealthy, I am just asking for diabetes.

I have to add, I think their plain coffee is disgusting. It's way too bitter and strong. I only like their espresso based drinks.

I was thinking that too myself.... I went to 'Starbucks', 'Beanscene', 'Nero' cafes and found their snacks and drinks a bit expensive. I could easily feed a whole family for the same price as what they charge for a Latte and a bun. Haha

So I do not go to those places too often but only if I am meeting a friend in town and feel in the mood for a little luxury treat (and if got the money!).

At the moment I am drinking Lattes.... I just buy shop bought packets of the stuff and make my own 'Starbucks' latte at home in any way I like. Whipped cream, sprinkles, whatever takes my fancy and its much much cheaper! I believe I can make a good dozen of those for less than one Latte bought from 'Starbucks'. Haha

Girl you can get an espresso maker for like $30, or a really sweet one for like $80, but they're not near $1000, maybe the industrial grade ones SB's uses.

I find that SB makes a better mocha than I do though. I think I try to make it too healthy (those things are like 400 calories) so it doesn't taste as good.

That's why they call it Star$bucks$.

Personally, I'm not a coffee drinker per se, I rarely drink it, but I have gone there every now and then to treat myself to a Double shot light ice Mocha Frap no whip (btw, you can't get the double shot anymore). I have tried the Mcdonald's coffee, but taste for taste, I think Burger King's coffee is better. Dunk'in Donuts coffee is usually way too watered down. But then again, I'm a novice.

Ya! 3.00 for just a frappachino. Rediculous.

Mine is the Tall vanilla bean frappachino with extra whip cream and carmel. Fattening, but good. Thats why I drink them only once a month.

How do you like the small coffee shop in your neighborhood or any nearby bakery's fresh coffee? Sometimes I like those than any of the big names. (For my favorite in * are Vanilla Latte with low-fat milk & Hot Chocolate with low-fat milk.)

Well, in Taiwan it is a recreational drink for me. Imagine our salary is your 1/3 and the * stays the same price like in US. How?

i won't even buy it. i think it is too much. i honestly like mcdonalds coffee and can't wait until they start doing the lattes. you should try it, it's only a buck for a medium and the money you save you can use for gas

Yes, they are good, but way to expensive! Maybe if we would stop standing in line for a week, the prices would come down. Anyone want to start a protest?
