Please really research this - there can be lots of problems, even with US doctors - you really need to look for a board certified surgeon and make sure that certification is from a valid agency and is a specialist in the plastic surgery you want. Since the US tends to have higher standards of care, look up board certification standards and try to compare them - but I wouldn't risk it, people die from complications inthe US with great surgeons, so you really want to find the best.

Think about this. If you go out of the country you would have to pay for:

Passport
Airfare
Hotel Reservations
Hospital/Surgery fees
After care medication

you shouldn't be flying for at least a few months after surgery, so you would have to wait those few months before coming back to the states.

THEN, there is the post operative appointments. If you go to the doctor who did your surgery you'd be paying for airfare and hotel reservations for those appointments. If you go to your family doctor, he or she might not be on the same page with your PS about what to do if complications arise and may disagree on how to handle any post operative questions you have.

Then there is the fact that if they DO screw up your surgery, how to go about getting compensation from an out of country doctor.

I would stick with shopping around in the states, near where you live.

Tummy Jobs, Breast Jobs, Nose Jobs, Face Jobs can easily be sourced out of country. All that is required is the right information about the surgeons and the quality of facilities. I got my experiences with India. You may if you feel so visit the undermentioned web link.
