I went to a college formal with a guy who has full sleeve tats and piercings in his eyebrow, eras and under his lip (between the lip and chin, I forget the name!). I went with him because I liked him and wanted to, not because of his piercings. He wore a tux and looked awesome and was himself, you can do the same. Don't worry about the piercings. They will be a good story to tell your kids when they see your prom pics in 25 years ( =

Classy depends on the group of folks you're going to be with. What's classy to the elected officials, businessmen and others like that in your community is body art limited to areas that can't be seen when you're wearing a dinner jacket, with the possible exception of earrings - and for a man probably only one earring. By the way - a classy tux to these folks is all black, or if it's warm and summer maybe a white jacket with black lapels and black trousers with single satin stripes down each leg.
If you're going out with people who celebrate body art, then don't event think about removing them.
Pretty much in between? Go with the studs and maybe one or two hoops.Just be careful, like you probably are, about not getting them caught in anything and doing yourself some serious harm...

Here's some advice from a Middle America mom with teenage children:
Put on the tux, and see how you look with your liprings, and then put in the studs and see how you look with the studs. Decide which one YOU like the best.
Personally, I like the idea of the studs since you'll be in formal clothes, but that's just my opinion.

Before the prom, try your tux on with the liprings and then with the studs and then you decide which looks best. Only take them out if you want to, not because you feel you have to fit in.

i dont think u should take them off just because its the prom!!
piercings is u and its u that has to turn up to the prom not some other person !
however if u want them to be less conspicuous i suggest u put on studs instead of rings or else there are these things out
that go throught the holes bt are made of skin coloured plastic ... they really dont show

If there isn't a damn thing we can say to make you take them out, then why ask for our opinion?
IMHO - there is nothing classy about pierced lip, pierced tongue, those big honking loops in the ears, pierced nose - sorry just doesn't work for me. But if your think it's possible to class that look up, I'd say go for a diamond or other precious gem stud.
On a really hot girl with a flat stomach, the pierced belly button is nice though.

No piercings looks classier with a tux than piercings do. If it were any other occasion I'd say leave the jewelry in but not this occaison.

I think you will look great. You should wear a pinstriped auit and leave in the rings. They're cute.
