That depends on where you are.
But, my mom worked for Social Security for many years and had a local list of emergency help telephone numbers,
Methodist Churches have money to help people.
Some other big churches probably have money and resources that you can use to releave some stress.

But, look for emergency assistance programs in your area also.

well if you got an eviction notice, you were also sued for possession (were you not?) If you were sued, you had a few weeks to seek out help then.
Should never ever wait until the last minute in situations such as you are in now. The suggestions here a good ones. Surely some organization can help you, or as one poster suggested, a family member. You didn't say how much the rent was so it is hard to gauge the amount you need or where best to start.

check out social services

they will refer you to the salvation army or the local Church's in your community...

i know as i work for a Church organization and the number of "customers" we have been having has increased drastically and it don't look like we will be out of charity business for a long time...there is always a homeless shelter if you look hard enough..good luck...we have placed a lot of people that are in the same situation as you are in...the largest number of homeless now is Children and young children at that...

maybe your pastor/reverend can help....LDS leaders from time to time are able to help people in this situation...
