I just found him outside, dehydrated, and since the local lake by me is infested with gators, I decided to keep him.
what supplies do you suggest I buy to house and feed the little guy?

I'd let him go- wild caught turtles rarely do well in captivity, but are really good about staying away from gators.

I have had a yellow eared aquatic since last May. He was the size of a quarter and still had a soft shell and yolk on him when he was found. He lives in a 10 gallon tank with some rocks he can climb on plus a turtle float that suction cups to the side of the tank. He is feed turtle pellets and I also have blood worms that are fish food I feed him. You can also find a filter that circulates the water that is made for a turtle that was very inexpensive maybe $10. I have to gravel in the tank and change it about every 10 days or so. He is now the size of a 50 cent and seems very happy.
