When someone says that most women get morning sickness beginning in weeks 4-6 of their pregnancy, does that mean 4-6 weeks after the first day of their last menstual period or 4-6 weeks after ovulation?? Just trying to plan a trip and do not want to fly with morning sickness..... Any info would be appreciated.

your pregnancy is calculated from the first day you got your LAST period and 40 weeks from that date is your due date so that would mean that if you are 4-6 weeks pregnant...that would be 4-6 weeks from your last period.

As far as your trip...THERE IS NO SURE WAY OF PLANNING A TRIP WITH NO MORNING SICKNESS...sorry to break it to you but many women experience morning sickness way after the 6th week and really...most don't start to have morning till around 6-10 weeks...that's the START...

Although some don't experience morning sickness at all...there are also some that experience it THROUGHOUT their whole pregnancy...

I'd be realistic...take the trip and just plan to be sick...if you don't get sick...THEN GREAT FOR YOU...if you do...then you are ready and will not get disappointed. The morning sickness will most likely stay for a few weeks once you start getting it so its better to get use to it and learn how to deal with it while you go about your daily activities

Every woman is different. 4-6 Weeks is always counted from the first day of your last period. But a lot of women don't get morning sickness until a few weeks later. Some don't get it at all.

Your best bet on travel is to wait until you are in your second trimester. That way, usually morning sickness is gone, you aren't peeing as much, and your belly isn't so big that you are uncomfortable. This is usually when most pregnant women feel the best too. You usually have more energy during the second trimester also, so if you can wait, I would hold off for a few months.

If you do have to travel and find ourself getting an upset tummy, try eating something lite, like some crackers or juice. Also, you can take 100 mg B6 twice a day, and 1/2 a unisom at bedtime. You can also take benadryl, it's safe for pregnancy. It can sometimes help with motion sickness. There are also motion sickness bands you can buy at the store. Just ask the pharmacist about them. Make sure when you travel that you remember to stay well hydrated!! It's hard to remember to drink when you are just sitting still, but it will help!

It is 4-6 weeks after the first day of their last period. In pregnancy you never count anything from ovulation. That doesn't mean anything.

By the time you ovulate, the egg is already 2 weeks old.

Every woman is different, some get really sick, some have no sickness and it starts at different times for everyone. I did not get sick until about 7 or 8th week and it lasted a few weeks. My friend got sick from the very begining and it lasted til about 5 mths.

You count from the first day of your last period, so in reality you are considered 2-3wks preggo when you concieve, I know confusing.

some woman get morning sickness when they are 5 weeks pregnant (that means that its been 5 weeks since they conceived). some other woman start to get it about about 10. or even others that don't get it until the third trimester! theres really no way to plan around morning sickness. it comes when it wants to and it goes away when it pleases! Sorry..i wish there was a more definate answer.

I'm not sure if its meant to be after menstruation or ovulation but i do know that morning sickness isn't present in every woman during pregnancy. my Dr. told me to take 50mg of b6 and a 1/2 a unisom up to 3x a day for morning sickness. as w/ any meds ask your Dr. first.

Generally morning sickness ends at 12 weeks after your last menstrual period, so you might want to wait until then.

Morning ailment is amazingly trouble-free early in a being pregnant. It has a tendency to circulate away later in being pregnant, and it truly is totally ordinarily long previous via the 2d trimester (after 13 weeks, or the fourth month). yet there isn't a series time for it to offer up because of the fact each lady is distinctive, and each being pregnant is distinctive. So i assume in basic terms circulate via what absolutely everyone says.
