I think that it should be offered in the early developmental years to make sure that students who are not native english speakers can learn english and perform better as they go through school. This would likely decrease dropout rates and increase the probability that they could be contributing member of society.

I totally agree. I believe that the human brain has the ability to master several languages.
Several countries for example Mauritius offers English and French from the infant age. Youngsters study french and English literature side by side . They sit for external exams in both languages.
A great advantage in life to be able to communicate with a bigger spectrum of people in the world.
French and spanish go hand in hand. Learn with games. An excellent website to visit is www.modernlanguages.org. Fun way of learning and practising vocabulary.

I'm against billingual education, in this country only one language should be spoken. I get tired going to stores in certain parts of town, and not have anybody speak English, if you live in this country you should speak English. And have you noticed the only people who haave a problem learning English are Illegal Aliens from Mexico. Immagrants from any other country learn English quickly, just from living here, but those illegals from Mexico move to their barrios and never learn the language, although they've lived here for 30 years.

If both are tough well it is a major benefit to your education.
Research shows that bilingual students preform better as their language skills are better than those that only speak one language.

I agree with bilingual education. By only speaking one language... AmeriKan... you limit yourself to just a small handfull of cultures and countries when you travel.
