as i'm part of a slips trips and broken hips working group, did you know 1 in 7 stair falls are up, rather than down. Usually down to:
Shoelaces, loose carpet, drunk stair users, carrying things so cant see ones feet, something being left on the stair or pets!

Up, down and sideways. I dragged someone down with me once, that was very painful. me and stairs, not a good combination. Ended up in hospital for a week after one fall down the stairs. I try to avoid them as much as possible now.

oh yes. It was SO weird. I was in this art museum and this wizard transported me into that MC Escher painting with all those weird 'optical illusion' stairs. Man, I never fell 'up' so many stairs. Not funny, Mr. Gonthor!!

Omg yes, I always slip on the carpet if I'm running too fast up the stairs, my knees hurt afterwards too!

Not me but my friend was fallen up from stairs .He was drunken and going to bed . When he reached upper platform, slipped and start rolling down. I heard a Bang.. When I went there to c what happen.My friend was sleeping there.

I do it all the time when I am not paying attention while walking up them. I get to the last step and then I try to take one more step up and Kabooom. I go falling down.
