LOL They stopped asking about me years ago...But as to Ricky--he sets my gaydar right off the charts....but it really is his business if he wants to publicly come out or not.

Personally it is none of my business. I don't care. If he comes out great - if he is straight that is great too.
There was a rumor when I was active duty - one of my closest friends heard a debate about me one day some people were saying I was gay and the one other person said, "No, I think he is just really religious." A different person (not my friend) said "Who cares? Tab does an excellent job and is kind to everyone isn't that all that matters?"
My friend apologized he told me that HE wishes he had said the last statement instead of remaining quiet.

So there I was, sitting in a college class on the first day when in walked Charlie with whom I went to high school. He decided to sit next to me (*sigh*) and we actually became friends of a sort. One day he was moaning of some blonde girl about how hot she was. I just said 'I kind of like the brunette.' Since the only other person in the room was this hot dark-haired guy, the implication should have been obvious. Charlie sat there looking around and finally he turned to me and said "Really?? I would never have guessed. All the girls in high school were crazy about you." I shrugged and admitted that yes, I am. We even went out cruising a time or two. He for chicks and me for guys.
Fast forward a few years to our 10 year high school reunion. Charlie was with his former high school clique friends (none of whom liked me). He walked up to me, hugged me, and kissed me on the cheek. He was the most accepting guy.
So yes...some people have been surprised by my revelation.
Now onto celebrities...in today's world it's still not accepted despite those who are out. It's no one's business but their own. Outing is passe.

Folks might have wondered about me, but they never wrote about it in the national press, thank God!
It must be really tough to be someone like Rickie Martin, when the press never stops asking . . .
It seems that being too forceful might push some people deeper into the closet -- of course, the South Park episode about Tom Cruise in hiding in the closet, was very funny!!!

Personally, no one I know or whom knows me has ever had to ask that particular question. Although as flattering and rather embarrassing(my girlfriend was next to me with her sister) as it has been to be asked by another guy if I was available for a dance or date, I have never had anyone ever wonder if I was or wasn't gay.

Sorry dude..I was so entranced with the swimsuits I forgot the question.
Oh yeah...Some people have asked me. Only American guys though. I think they were A&Fobes. In Italy no one has asked me up front.

I had a former co-worker wondered privately to others, but never directly asked me, so I didn't tell her.
