can anyone explain, why some people pay millions of dollars to fly to outer space ,and they are so many poor and hungry ,men, women ,and children , that dont know if they will get a chance to bite something before they die??????? its bloody disgusting dont these rich people have any kind of feelings atall? i dont think they are really human how can someone be like that .

in other words i have what i need screw the others but little do they know ,the ones that are starving now , will most likely die soon , but the rich people will suffer later and it will be much harder for them , because they dont really know what hunger, sufferring, or hardship is really like .and most of all they will be thinking about all the money they have and there is nothing to spend it on:

it seems as if no one cares about the people in the third world they are the poor people and not the ones that are killing the climate its us not them doing it to us here in the usa and europe with our hightec

First of all, it's not up to the rich people (or rich nations) to feed the hungry of the world. Many times the hungry are hungry for a reason. Either they live in a dessert, have more children than they can feed and do not have jobs so they will always be hungry. I know this sounds cruel but if you feed the hungry, there will just be millions more waiting to be fed in another 20 years. I know it isn't fair but life isn't fair. Some of us were born in countries where we can get an education and earn a living and have a good life. Sadly, others are not.

Why are people hungry? Because they haven't eaten.

When people create a product, somebody out there has to choose to purchase it. The person who produced it gains something in return, usually money. It's his money to do with as he sees fit. If he wants to spend it on food to be delivered to starving people in another part of the world, it's his right to do so. If he wants to build a house, it's his right to do that. If he wants to travel to outerspace, it's his right to do that as well.

The point is, some people do work that somebody else is willing to pay for. Sometimes, they can do things that people really want, and will pay more for it. For example, somebody who can make a good cheeseburger probably won't get paid as much as somebody who can safely and successfully perform surgery, due to which service generally has higher value. That's why surgeons tend to make more than fast-food workers.

So, what are the people in those nations offering people with more money?

The answer is: not a whole lot. Most of them lack the technical skills that are economies require due to their lack of access to education. Their nations lack an infrastructure that allows them easy travel between locations, making relocation all-but-impossible, and they don't have the wealth to advertise what they can do.

The only niche they end up fulfilling is cheap labor...and many rich people are willing to take that in abundance, setting up sweat shops that those people are willing to work in. Why? Because they're making more money than they could ever hope to make in their traditional economic roles.

With this wealth comes a planning for the future (instead of worrying about the present). When they realize that an injury at work can create hardship for their families, they can demand better conditions. If you don't believe it, look at the early 20th century in Europe or the U.S., or look at the past 5 years in China and India.

They'll eventually get to a level in which they can build roads and schools, and send their children for an education that makes them competitive. These things don't happen overnight.

The best thing you can do for those people isn't to take some people's money away from them (which is akin to theft) and send to other people; that only creates foreign dependency, and that money usually just ends up being squandered by their usually-corrupt officials. The best thing you can do is find ways of speeding the process along.

ok I will agree on some of what you say but I will also say when was the last time you fed someone on the street took them to mcdonalds for a quick burger of something. maybe gave money to a shelter or helped in one. yes the rich do extravagant things with there money but they also give alot to charity ( yes there are others who are like scrooge and give nothing or less) what about the kid on the street who says, and I quote, "why should I work at a fast food place for 6 an hour when I can make 100 a day begging on the street" I realize this is not the majority of those on the street or begging but still enough to make you second guess if you want to feed someone take them to the restaurant or fast food buy them the burger don't give them the money and hope they spend it right. the rich do some crappy things at times but they also do more than most of us do as well.

you are asking the rich to do more than you even try to do what does that say about you?

if you want to really help educate someone or feed them yourselves.
