I injured disk and ligament in my right knee a few years back playing tennis. It healed, there is no longer pain for daily activities, but it doesn't feel right.
If I bend my legs a little, then straighten them, the right knee will pop/move position a little . Also when I'm driving leaning my right leg to the side relaxed... sometimes the knee will just move 'clonk' a little like its moving out of joint a little.
I could almost swear that my right leg now feels a little longer than the left, though just visually looking... they look the same.
The physio said they haven't seen this before, and not sure what it is. I am afraid to do sports...especially anything with impact on the knee. I've tried stationary bike, but then the knee starts to ache if I do bike several times.
I'd like to play tennis again, or try rollerblading sometime.
Does anyone have any idea why my knee moves like this, or what I should do to improve things ?
any help appreciated,
thanks
Jon

I had something similar happen to me several years ago.

What happened was that two of the seven tendons in the knee were "popping" out of the track they belong it. I tried the elastic knee band, not helpful. I discovered I could gently lift my leg as if I were crossing my leg across my other knee (masculine style) It would put the tendon back in the track it belonged in. This went on for at least 2 or three weeks before I discovered this little solution.

If the knees are not be exercised by walking to keep them in place it seems to get worse.

The knee does feel "weird" mine did, sitting or standing, walking, I had to walk on my tip toe to relieve the pain.

My Chiropractor was very helpful with mine. Apparently tendons all have a specific track or trough they are supposed to stay in. My Mother in law had the tendon in a finger go out and it looked like a bow from archery. The Chiro was able to repair the problem,

it is the cartilage that is in the knee to keep the joint in place. If you damage it your knee can pop out at anytime called a trick knee. It never heals and can cause pain arthritis later in life.
