Solve for 5x - 8 < 1

Answer in Solution Set and interval notation. HELP!!

5x - 9 < 0

5x < 9

x < 9/5

(-oo, 9/5)

2x - 2 < 6 or X+1 > 4 if we use 3 then 6-2 = 4 check 3+1 = 4 which is not > 4 BUT it said "OR" whereas 4+5 = 5 which IS > 4 but 8-2 = 6 its -inf to infinity because essentially everything works in this system.. because of or and the way its setup... One basically says as long as its greater then 4 or Less than 6
