I was talking with a friend, who is amazed by the Google earth and Microsoft live. He told me that the pictures of his house that appear online are getting older instead of newer. I said that its because too many people are getting caught with their pants down so to speak. If the pictures are over 5 years old
The statute of limitations would apply and would remove their liability. What do you think? Is that why they would post older pictures?

In part the use of old photos is due to Government's security concerns.
" time delays were crucial, in the national security sphere much can change between the time an image is taken and when it is used by the public."

More than likely the reason for older photos of certain areas, is the Google changed the company that they buy the rights to the satellite pictures from.

None of the satellite pictures are of such resolution that any person could be indentified, so I doubt they are worried about catching people with thier pants down.
