In the upcoming Spiderman 3,Topher Grace (That 70's Show) plays Venom, Thomas Hayden Church (Wings) plays the Sandman and,Peter's freind-Harry Osbourn becomes the second Green Goblin or the Hobgoblin. The reason Spider Man's costume goes from red and blue to black is because Venom's appearence is black and he can turn himself into a liquid substance and get on Spider Man's costume making it go from red and blue to solid black. As far as which vllian I hate the most,I didn't really hate any of them.I think the actors who played and will play the villians bring a lot of energy andexcitement to the character just like what Tobey Maguire brings to Peter Parker/Spider Man. And,also in Spider 3,a new love will be in Peter's life-Gwen Stacy. Now,in the comic book, the Green Goblin caught her, threw her off a bridge and she died. Will this happen in the movie?Hard to say but I would think it would or something close to it

Originally he got the black costume during the Secret Wars on the Beyonder's homeworld. It was later deemed to be the symbiote that came to be known as Venom!

Venom was attach to the original costume making it black and evil. I personally think Peter should make a replica of the black costume and throw away that dorky lame original costume. The replica black costume would just be like the original costume accept it's black, no Venom and not evil. I prefer Spidey wear the black costume permanently. I like to see a darker Spider-man.

it is a symbiotic alien that merges with spiderman that gives him increased powers. The problem is that the longer he is merged the more the alien takes over. Until the alien eventually separates from spidey and becomes the villain Venom

Because a symbiote took over spiderman's body.................

A symbiote, in Marvel Comics' fictional universe, is a living alien organism that bonds with another living organism (usually a human, although it may bond with non human animals) in order to survive.

If they were to base it upon the comic it was a symbiote suit he received during the "Secret Wars" The movie will most definitely have a different spin in it.

What I understand from the previews is that there is some sort of evil black goo that attaches itself to him, turning his costume black and turning him bad.
