Would you recommend one? Were you pleased with your purchase? How long do you expect to keep it for? What would you say to someone transferring from a PC Laptop? Any other tips/info/suggestions etc? Is the iLife suite overated or is it fact that it is effiecient and usable?

Cheers

I'm typing this on a Macbook. Once you get Bootcamp you can make a Windows partition and install XP or Vista. It actually makes a decent Windows machine. And OSX is way, way better an OS than Windows.

I like mine. At first, it got real hot after a few hours of use, but I installed the firmware update that Apple sent and it cooled it down (the fan runs more frequently). The new models have this new firmware already installed.

The single best feature is the mag safe power cord - the power cord is connected by a magnet instead of plugging in, so when you trip over it, the cord pops off instead of dragging your laptop to the floor (it's saved me many times)

The built-in webcam is nice, too.
