what you should get yourself? or what you should ask for?
If the first is correct, you shouldn't get anything for yourself.
If the 2nd is correct, you should ask for something simple, like a book or clothing gift certificate. You don't wait until the day before your birthday to ask for something really nice, like a guitar or a bike.
