Do you go to a stylist/salon?
Just walk in one of those chain stores?
An old fashioned barber shop, where old men hang around reading Field & Stream?
Cut it yourself?
Say the hell with it and stay shaggy?

Botch the job myself thinking I have surely learned so much by now, and then go to an expert to save me what's left.

Guess it depends if you're a guy or girl... but it also depends on your budget constraint (how much are you willing to pay or how much do you value quality??).

Those in old barber shops or any cheap places usually have a certificate or approved to be good enough... but I do still believe there are good ones but they're hard to find.

A hairstylist, however have a higher degree of some sort and usually are better and have better knowledge, but I still find some that aren't as great.

I usually go for a hairstylist, because my hair has to be cut "right" and I do have the money... but my brother on the other hand just goes to any barber/chain stores or sometimes cut himself.

When my hair start to curl up at the ends I go to an old fashioned barber shop, where old men hang around reading Field & Stream? There is just one barber there, John, who took over for his father, Bill.

When you feel your hair is harder to handle, and you feel like you are getting bad hair days a LOT!!!
I'd go to the stylist/salon. I know it might be a hassle but if you want a real good cut and feel good that you've accomplished something, go there. Or, if you want to cut it yourself and save the money. The simplest way is to puti t in a ponytail thats pretty evened out for the clumps of hair. stand in front of the mirror and snip across the ponytail---it doesnt look half bad!
happy cutting and no matter what i'm sure you'll like cutting your hair more than letting it all hang.
Hope this HELPS♥

can't deal with shaggy, just yesterday I had a clean-up trim, not much hair left but I don't want to look like the wild man, and I get my ears and eye brows trimmed.
It's a local barberess, and nice little shop.
