The global warming theory is now a complete joke.
It is now widely known that all of the planets have global warming right now.
It was hotter 6,000 years ago and there have been faster temperature changes in the past. NASA blames the sun for the temperature changes.
Most global warming theorists have never heard of the term "solar variability". Solar variability caused the earth to leave the ice age in less than 20 years, and it caused the earth to have a little ice age several hundred years ago.
This video that proves global warming is a joke. Experts in the video PROVE the sun is the cause of temperature changes.

NASA: "Rapid changes between ice ages and warm periods (called interglacials) are recorded in the Greenland ice sheet. Occurring over ONE OR TWO DECADES, the warming of the Earth at the end of the last ice age happened much faster than the rate of change of the Earth’s orbit."
NASA link: http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Study/Paleoclimatology_Evidence/Images/gisp2_temperature.gif
NASA data has proved that the "Little Ice Age" was caused by less light reaching the earth ("solar variability", which means changes in the sun).
NASA's data about the little ice age. http://tinyurl.com/227h3p or ftp://ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov/pub/da... (This data can be copied and pasted it into Excel to chart it.)
Other facts:
1) 6,000 years ago, the earth was hotter than it is today. 6,000 years is less than a second when compared with the age of the earth.
2) Temperatures dropped in the 1950's and 1990's when CO2 levels were increasing.

3) 140,000 years ago the earth had record CO2 levels and there were no gasoline powered cars.
4) 20,000 years ago, Canada was one big ice cube and half of the U.S. was covered with Ice. The grand canyon was formed by melting ice ages over 20 million years.
5) The temperature of the Earth has only increased by 0.65 of a degree in the last 110 years. There were faster increases in temperatures around 10,000 years ago and there were no gasoline powered cars during that time
6) NASA scientific data has shown most of the changes of temperature are due to changes in the Sun. Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto all have global warming right now.
7) Also, strong hurricanes are normal. Hundreds of years ago, they used to sink ships off of the coast of Florida.

There are quite a few scientists saying the same thing and there have been from the begining.
Global warming is happening though, just because it could be a natural occuring event (which has not been proven-though I do agree) does not mean that it is not happening.
There were also holes in the O-zone layer long before we were aware of it even existing. That doesnt mean that we arent making some ourselves.
The true global warming debate isnt whether or not the planet is changing. It is not even whether or not it is a natural cycle-it is known by all who have looked into it in depth that it is. Simple ecology teaches you that an ecosystem can take care of itself in most cases-if it gets too hot, clouds go up blocking sunlight, then shower the area with water to cool it down. If it gets too cold the clouds go away which lets in more sunlight to heat the planet again.
So the still unanswered question is whether what we are doing is speeding it up or making it different in anyway.
Since we dont know, we should be cautious. Just think about chaotic dynamics-the more variables that you add, the more unmeasurable effects you will have.
As for trusting scientist: we still trust them after dark matter and dark energy
we still trust them after ether
This happens all the time, people are wrong sometimes.

Even if what you say about variations in global temperatures, over the past few thousands is true, I don't see how you or anybody else can prove that pouring billions of tons of man made CO2 into the atmosphere every year has no effect on the planet.
I am believer in the 1% doctrine when it comes to global warming. If there is a 1% chance that man made global warming is true, we should do all we can to stop it, because the consequences of doing nothing would be so terrible.
In addition, regardless who is right about global warming, don't we have a moral obligation to conserve fossil fuel for future generations rather than using it up as quickly as possible?

I think based on their record in Congress, and in the White House, the Republicans probably deny global warming the most. Senator James Inhoffe (R-OK) said that "global warming is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated" and used to be in charge of the Senate Committee on the Environment and Public Works. Our current president has reversed many of the efforts of the prior administration to curb greenhouse gasses and limit global warming's impact. Many Republican members of congress consistently vote against many anti-warming legislation. That being said, the Democrats haven't really accomplished much on the global warming front. Yes, the campaign on it, and Al Gore made a movie about it. But in terms of actual legislation, their track record is less than stellar. The debate over Kyoto originated during the Clinton administration, and was merely solidified by the current administration. But if I had to pick one which "denies" global warming, I'd probably have to say Republican.

Experts say the sun is responsible for warming the planet? Really? I had no idea the sun warmed our planet. Do you even know anything about global warming? Have you ever been to a city and seen the beautiful brown cloud? I have been in LA on the 5 and not been able to see the buildings downtown because of the smog. If you don't think that much smog is going to have some sort of nasty side effect, then go sit in your garage with the door closed and the engine running. Now, don't really do this as you will die. All your research above is just another theory and likely comes from scientists hired by oil companies.

Are you for real? As for blindly trusting scientists, whom should we trust? I’d trust scientists before I would trust someone like you who can’t even think straight. Most of the reputable and qualified scientists say that global warming is being caused by human activity and yet you say otherwise. Why should anyone trust you and who are you anyway? You choose to believe the small group of skeptics and claim that everyone should believe as you do. The evidence does not support your position!
The NASA page I went to states:
“With the possible exception of another world war, a giant asteroid, or an incurable plague, global warming may be the single largest threat to our planet”.
“For decades human factories and cars have spewed billions of tons of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, and the climate has begun to show some signs of warming.”
Your position is more a political one than a scientific one. The proof for your side is scant to nonexistent.

Yea pretty funny, the same idiots that question the existence of G_D, because the lack off, or conflicting evidence, are the same lemmings who will follow each other of the cliff for an unproven and likely false theory.
And to Purple, you have it backwards honey, If you believe in Global Warming - then your are the Believer, of which you speak.

Gee, I'll bet you still don't believe that men have walked on the moon, or that the Third Reich killed 6 million Jews by gassing them. Maybe you bought Dubya's scientists' announcement that abortion causes cancer.
Wake up! Plant a tree; walk more. If you're right, you'll have shade and a fine figure and good health; if you're wrong, you'll have the same.

Longhair: We meet again. You are totally devoid of any concept of logic or reason. It is all as you believe it to be and if anyone DARE refute your religious faith then they are to be ridiculed.
You are a closed minded person that refuses to even consider (and indipendently verify for yourself) other science that has direct input into the question of global warming (or apparently any other topic)
You are in a jail of preconception and you don't even know it.
The asker has provided references, multiple ones and there are HUNDREDS of others that point to scientific studies that refute or at least raise serious questions about global warming.
But, for you, it really isn't about global warming is it? I don't think so. Let me guess. Your core beliefs would line up quite nicely with socialism right? Maybe even as far as communism too. You don't give a hoot about global warming. You hate an America that is built on the free market and capitalism though and will do anything to hinder her greatness.
You think that you, and those like you can hide in here and no one will be able to figure out who you really are.
But it wasn't even hard. And all this from a one liner or two from you on this an a few other questons.
You are not even a liberal or a democrat except that those political positions expedite your efforts to ruin America.
I don't say it lightly and I hardly ever consider that it is true for most people, but you and your ilk are traitors to your country (if you are even an American to begin with) and are a festering wound in an otherwise healthy country.

Personally, I am too dumb to understand any of that stuff, but I just don't trust Al Gore, he could tell me my hair was blonde and I wouldn't believe him.
That and they keep telling me this is bad for me one day and then say, well, wait, this is bad yes, but you need some of this or that and then this or the other thing included with the this or the then, what, wait? Where am I? Who is this really?
Actually, I think I do what little I can to help the environment, I recycle and I use stuff over again and I try to minimize my trash, but when they started that whole don't use spray bottles because it depletes the ozone stuff - I thought, BS, but I still recycle.
The world is going to end December 21, 2012 anyway, so who cares?
