I assume you mean how many degrees celsius is 1 degree fahrenheit

Celsius Formula

C = 5/9(F - 32)

C = 5/9(1 - 32)

C = 5/9(31)

C = 155/9

C = 17.2222222222. . .

C = 17.2 rounded to one decimal place

Do you mean 1° Fahrenheit?

In order to convert from the Fahrenheit scale to the Celsius, or "centigrade" scale, you use the formula:

°C = (°F - 32 ) / 1.8

Therefore, 1°(F) = -17.2°(C)

Don't get the two mixed up! I actually like the Celsius system better, because of the fact that it is based on the freezing (0°C), and boiling point (100°C) of water....

In order to "back convert" into Fahrenheit, you reverse the formula above:

°F = 1.8 x°C + 32

Hope that makes sense....

1 degree farhenheit is roughly equivilant to about -20 or -23 celsius. There's a formula for it, but i'm not in the mood to do it at the moment.
