I'm about 7 1/2 weeks along. I feel nausea off and on all day. I am always feeling like I need to eat something to make the nausea go away but I don't want to spend every waking hour eating either. I'm gassy/constipated/bloated feeling all the time. I'm moody a lot. One minute I'm in a great excited mood window shopping for baby stuff and the next minute I could cry at the drop of a hat. And then a little while later I feel like if I don't get a BLT right this second I'm gonna hurt someone or bite someone's head off. And then I'll see a cute little baby on tv and want to cry a happy tear at how cute he is. I feel all kinds of emotions and there is no logical explanation for any of them most of the time, and that really bugs me because I'm a rational person. I'm not used to feeling emotions that have no reason behind them, an explanation, you know?
I feel tired and lazy, and then at night I toss and turn and have trouble sleeping like I'm too awake to sleep. All sorts of smells are offensive to me. Old lady smells, strong perfume, fresh asphalt, the garden center at Target, dog breath, pencil shavings, and I mean literally offensive. Like I feel anger toward the smell for being so irritating, like it smells that way just to irritate me. It's crazy how many changes I am seeing in my body and my hormones and I'm not even that far along yet.
My grandma said the beginning is rough, and that your body adjusts after a while. Then when you're bursting at the seams you are uncomfortable again. She said the second trimester is usually the best because by then your body is balancing itself out, and you can really start to enjoy your pregnancy. I sure can't wait to have my first trimester over with!

I really feel your pain, well 1/2 of it. This is my first pregnancy so I don't have any little ones running around.
I'm 11 weeks pregnant and feel sick all the time too. I think I've only had relief for 3 days out of the last 3 weeks. I
hope you have help from a significant other for a few hours out of the day so you can relax quietly and just veg. Don't be to hard on yourself, don't try to be super woman and get everything done. The cooking and the laundry is left to my husband now (the cooking is done for himself, everything makes me feel sick).
Take it a day at a time, and try to remember it will all be worth it in the end.. Good luck, hope you start feeling better soon, hopefully after the 1st trimester!

i am just under 12 weeks and coincidentally i also have a child of similar age already.
It hasnt been easy recently. My daughter is unwell at the moment and doctors dont know what it is but she has constant fever and diarrohea. To make matters worse i had a miscarriage scare this time last week for which I was hospitalised (I posted a question about it recently) and i have bled again since then, so I am very nervous - i hear miscarriage is very painful and traumatic. I am trying to take things easy but its kinda difficult with a sick child!!
Add to that i have very bad nausea and the whole thing is really dreadful. BUT ... I am keeping on top of things. I eat large amounts of ginger to curb the nausea, and i lie on my side, for some reason that seems to work. I also have a very supportive husband who cooks and looks after baby a lot.
Life could be better, but it could be worse too!!

I am 11 weeks and I've had no morning sickness at all. My problem is tender boobs, they are KILLING me!!! One has grown much bigger than the other (I'm a DD cup anyway) and I'm all lopsided. I'm very depressed and not at all excited about becoming a Mum, it has a lot to do with me being away from my family as I live in Greece. My husbands family like to take over everything and tell me what to do, i want ti run back to the UK!!!! I'm sure it's just hormones making me feel so down.
Don't feel guilty, you can't help feeling the way you do, can someone help you with your little one so you can have some quiet time?
good luck sweetie x

I'm 13 weeks along with my first. I'm feeling tired all the time, and I have really bad indigestion all the time! Other than that, I'm doing ok, my spirits are high, and I'm excited to find out what the sex of the baby is.
Hope you are feeling better soon, and can enjoy your pregnancy! I've heard that the second trimester is the best, so just keep trucking!

You might want to try taking some Vitamin B6. I helps with the morning ( or all day) sickness. Ask you Dr, but it really worked for me.
Good Luck and best wishes on your new addition
