No we are not morally superior. Why do you assert that we should follow this "international law" more than any other sovereign nation? When I feel that these other people have the best interest of my nation at heart I will listen to their views, until then their opinion means less than nothing to me.
Let me ask you: why do you place so much more value on everyone outside of this nation than you do for your fellow citizens?

Let's see: a nation founded by slaveowners who didn't want to have to pay taxes on the slaves they owned...then there was the genocide of most of the native peoples of the nation...then there was the internment of American citizens because of their race in WWII...then there was COINTELPRO and the assassination of almost all of the leaders of the Black Panther Party...and let's not forget Leonard Peltier is rotting in jail after a rigged trial with fake evidence and a rigged jury for a crime that no one today can say with certainty he really had anything to do with...then there's the continuing economic and military rape of the planet including another imperialistic adventure called Iraq...hmmmm....I'd say there probably isn't any reason to say the US is morally superior to any other country.

I'm not sure what international laws you think the US has broken, but if you insist on seeing the world through your distorted relative morality then, no. Don't forget that we (the US) are one of the only nations who would have punished the solders that committed crimes at Abu Ghraib or war crimes in Iraq. We allow international agencies watch over or jails in Guantanamo Bay, and if you think their conditions are bad then go see the jails in one of your "more free" countries. We stood against communism for years and now we keep Islamic extremism at bay. There is a reason people are trying to come here from Mexico and South America. I could go on an on about our moral superiority to the majority of the countries in this world. Maybe you and others like you could stop bitching about how bad we are and stop hating our nation and start doing something.

No single person's viewpoint is superior to a nation's, also, those who express themselves are always noted, even if a nation doesn't do what that other says to do. In some cases, international law is a hindrance, and the mode of enforcement for it is both weak and corrupt. Also, keep in mind that 40% of the annual UN Budget is donated by the US, which is more than any other nation contributes, by far. I, personally believe that all nations who are members should have to contribute equally, should be equally answerable, and should equally contribute from their militaries to the Peace Keepers. People are eager to berate the US, but, if the US were to isolate, and cut the rest of the world off, it would certainly feel the impact. You see, the road goes both ways. To paraphrase a very wise man: Let them who are without sin cast the first stone.

Morals and faith will constantly be seperate. in spite of if a decision is ethical or not has not something to do with what a 'god' says. homicide isn't incorrect because of the fact it truly is written down someplace - it truly is incorrect because of the fact it truly is evil. So for sure the two can overlap. on the different hand, the only argument against stem-cellular analyze is that religious fanatics say that a blastocyst (the place stem cells come from - a nondescript ball of indifferentiated cells without organs or something of the form) is the comparable as an entire-grown man or woman. there isn't something remotely immoral approximately it, the alternative to equate stem-cells and an entire human existence is in common terms religious in nature. the comparable is authentic of persons who stick to the be conscious 'immoral' to sexuality - pretending that by some potential absolutely everyone seems to be obligated from delivery to be heterosexual, and that any deviation from it truly is a private, ethical failing. Idiocy. So in spite of if there are some regulations that alter issues in the comparable way that somebody's canon could desire to dictate, that doesn't mean that the two could be puzzled. In an suited society, each regulation or rule whose foundation is in faith could be thoroughly voluntary. it is not in common terms incorrect to base regulations upon faith in a rustic without stated faith - it truly is incorrect for a rustic to tension a faith on absolutely everyone, everywhere, in basic terms because of the fact those people had the unwell fortune to be born in the midst of a gaggle of fantatics.

No !.
And any Country or government that proclaims its moral superiority over all others, automatically proves the opposite.
Simply put, your system of values and morals may work for you, but others can have a different bur equally valid system.
There are many roads that lead to Rome.

Just as no person is (or, rather, should be) above the law, no country is.
The more we violate interational law, the more morally inferior we are.
We've never been as moral on the interational scene as most Americans believe.
Our worst behavior has not been mentioned in the mainstream media.

What value is there in rating the "moral superiority" of different countries? It's all a matter of opinion.
And, furthermore, when is the last time being "morally superior" to someone/something put money in your pocket, food on your table, or a safe place to sleep?
Fear of obliteration is what keeps other countries in check. Not "moral superiority".

Hey come on, in some ways we are superior.
Not in education though, everyone knows that kids having 2 freaking straight months of summer enables them to forget as much as possible.
Not in culture because USA has none of their own, it's a country of everyone else's which breeds hostility and dissention.
Not in ethics, because we also lie to try to get our way, hence the non-WMD war we're in.
But Militarily we ARE superior, it's just that our government doesn't tell it's people that their military is being sent into battle without proper body armor and it's military vehicle armors are the equivalent of an ordinary school bus protection.
