Neutrogena bronzing foam for two two shades darker is the best one ive used. the bronzer in it helps you make sure you rub it in and that you wont have streaks. it also helps so you dont end up putting it on a spot you already tanned.

BE SURE TO:

exfoliate with a body wash with pumice in it before you use a self tanner st ives has a good one with a apricot colored cap, its in a jar type thing, i cant think of the name of it.

put lotion on all of the rough parts of your body such as ankles elbows and definately on your hands because believe me you will look like a monster with brown palms.

put the self tanner on in cirlces so you dont get streaks

rub in thoroughly!!

SHAVE YOUR LEGS BEFORE USING!!

never self tan the day of. always the day before

self tan when you are fresh out of the shower and COMPLETELY DRY

do not put on light colored garments after using.

dont work out after you use it, you will smell something like burger king.

i think ive said it all. email me if you have any more questions. im a pro!!

I've tried plenty and California Tan Sunless Self Tanner seems to work best..it costs about 20 dollars/bottle but its well worth it...plus it "shows where it goes"
I've stopped using self tanners and got a membership at the tanning bed lol
About the same price for more permanent results:)

personally fake tans are noticeable and arent cute.
they are orange.
if you use the spray on or cremes it will make you look orange. if you go to a tanning salon its bad for your skin and causes cancer so personally just go the natural way and tan in the sun , eventhough the sun isnt good either its better than the other options.

hope this helped.

this is 2nd-hand info from my friend...she swears by jergens natural glow, l`oreal sublime glow, & banana boat sundial ( sorry, in some previous posts i said it was banana boat dial-a-tan..didn`t mean to confuse anyone...my friend set me straight on it!!!)...she is super super dark, & it doesn`t look a bit fake...but she does use all 3 products daily, layering them (banana boat & jergens for face, & banana boat & l`oreal for body)...the products are not expensive, & u can find them at places like cvs, walmart, target, etc...

i haved used Jergens for 2 years now; it looks natural, especially after the second day and on. i agree with *atomick: Jergens glow is great, it is very moisturizing, and it smells really great, not like the old coppertone products.
