There is no certain time that is 100% safe, but most women ovulate on day 14, so the days around that you would be most likely to get pregnant. But that date can vary from woman to woman, and from month to month in the same woman...AND you can ovulate more than once in a month. However, condoms alone are 89% effective, and spermicides alone are 50-80% effective...together they are very effective and you shouldn't worry TOO much. But just remember that it is possible to get pregnant at any time, using any method...it's just not very likely at the time you described.

It's not impossible to get pregnant during ANY phase of your menstrual cycle so don't rely on that. Using condoms and spermicide is no guarantee either but they are fairly reliable. You should really consider getting on birth control if you're sexually active and do not want to get pregnant. You aren't limited to the daily pill, patches or shots anymore either. Consider a long term method...some can give up to five years of reliable protection with no effort on your part! (If you're a minor and afraid to talk to your parents you should know that in most states you don't need your parents permission to obtain birth control.

Although condoms and spermicide are a great idea, nothing is 100% safe.

Any time you have sex there is a risk of pregnancy no protection is 100% effective. I think your timing and use of protection will be in your favor. But if you really do not want a baby you should just not have sex.

It's more safe than earlier in your cycle but if you absolutely do not want to risk pregnancy, then the safest option would be to use condoms.

Best of luck!

the only sure way not to get pregnant is not to have sex, nothing is 100% effective, it sounds like youre taking the right precautions but like i said theres always the chance when you have sex.
