And, if you want, you can picture in your head Daniel Pearl getting beheaded too. I don't think there is a video of his "conversion" to Islam.

Yes it is 30 years old too. What would be your point, I would like to add, is it more fear and hate mongering from a right wing extremist? There are doctors and medications for your problem, I advise you to seek help and attend some anger management classes.

They can't watch it - that would take away the fiction that you can negotiate with these "freedom fighters".

Make no mistake about it - we are fighting the Nazis all over again - but this time they are suicidal. No more Neville Chamberlins - That means YOU Madame Speaker!

Edit- and enough of this relativist crap - just because other people have committed evil in the past does not make this evil excusable. It is cowardly to refuse to stand up for right and against evil because you *feel* squeemish and guilty about something that happened centuries ago.

Right is right - wrong is wrong. The cowardly murder in those photos is wrong and inexcusable by any rational measure.

Nick Berg was not murdered because he would not convert to Islam, get your facts right!

Nick Berg's father blames George Bush for his sons death!

It was to avenge Iraqi prisoners being abused. Whether right or wrong, good or bad that is why.

Extremists are not representing Islam. There motives are political not religious.

But stereotypes never get old do they.

Shame i don't have a link to American soldiers killing an Iraqi family including there 3 year old child, raping the teenage daughter, pouring petrol on her and setting her on fire.

No one is without guilt and look at your own back yard before you go judging others. Does the act of these soldiers mean ALL Christians are responsible? Of course. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!

That was pretty gross! I am sure we have done worse in the trenches. Some of the things that soldiers have said they have done and now are suffering from PT SD.

Its pretty crazy out there on both sides. Using this video as evidence of the horrors of Islam is just bad taste. You know the Filipinos- who are big Christian followers are nailing each to to crosses.

I put it to you this way- How bloody must religion get before we are able to collective turn our backs on belief systems which are blatantly cruel, evil and the main cause of hatred and separateness of humanity?

None of them (religions) can point an accusatory finger at each other- yet they do it- constantly.

It is time for us all to think for ourselves and get rid of this hypocrisy once and for all.

It just amazes me sometimes that after tens of thousands of years - that THIS is what we have evolved into.

We can do better than this.

Just what is your point with this? Are you blaming Libs for the be headings? Are you?

I f so you really are dumb.... the be headings started when Bush decided to play cowboy.. and even before. The people who do these atrocities are animals.. they are not real human beings and so therefore can be classed with mad dogs. There is nothing to do about mad dogs except put them to sleep. But how you came to the conclusion that all of this is the libs fault is beyond me.

Maybe you just feel better laying blame.. you must be a con.. they are very good at laying blame.. and never taking responsibility.

Very disturbing post.. cannot believe that just to make a pint you would bring this horrible thing up.

It didn’t capture the world’s imagination…The civilized world was horrified! Freedom of the press had nothing to do with it…Daniel Pearl was executed because he was an American and a Jew. The dear leader is a dangerous delusional fool…

If you are foolish enough to think that is the real motivation here then the freaking terrorists are winning, these horrendous acts aren't done in Islam's name no matter what these idiots proclaim, they are to intimidate and shock, they no more speak for Islam than the Reverend Fred Phelps speaks for Christianity

What's your point? That Muslim extremists are brutally inhumane? Few sane people would argue that point. Oh, I get it. This is one of those "stay the course" posts. If we lose the war in Iraq, terrorism wins. Here's a news flash: the war in Iraq is not a war on terror. It is, however, a blood-for-oil, privatized war designed to control Iraqi oil and to make Bush and Cheney's corporate buddies filthy rich. Wake up and smell the BS.

Yes, but we're not going to convert to Christianity either.

Unless it was Jesus who was doing the beheadings.
