Hi Dharma,

Thought long and hard about this one, I have many material things that I've collected over the years but none really mean the world to me. The one thing I wish I still had but do not, is a handwritten letter from my mother when I moved away from home for the first time. She's been gone for about 12 years now, and I'd love to be able to read that letter again in her handwriting. The other thing I greatly treasure is my Canadian citizenship papers. Although I lived here for most of my life I didn't become a citizen until about 7 years ago.

No material possession is worth more than my girlfriend. She's the only thing that means the world to me and I treasure with my soul.

It is a wooden bowl that measures about 20 inches across. It was turned on a lathe in or around 1850. A whole china cabinet filled with antique treasures and my ugly bowl is monetarily worth the most.

The dining room table my grandfather made for my mother when I was 7. It is big, and heavy with a dark stain, and very scarred, but I threatened to castrate my husband when he wanted to refinish it. All those marks are part of my families history. My grandfather died in 1995, 1 month before I met my husband.

My M1-Garand (rifle) has served to ensure my physical safety, has put food on my table, and have ever allowed me to obtain hides which I have fashioned into clothing (two dusters thus far) and shelter (a tent fashioned off those used by fur traders in the early 1800's).

Additionally, if necessary, this firearm could also be used to help protect American sovereignty and the God given rights of American citizens.

Thus, I must consider this to be one of my most valuable possessions.

The one thing that I cannot live without is the ashes of my deceased cats. I don't consider my living cats a material possession, so I am not including them as a possibility.

My guitar !
It's not a lofty goal, but I would like to be a performer
(preferably paid one) at our local coffee houses.
This would be my last career goal as I will be retiring soon
and playing the guitar is something I've always enjoyed.
and supplementing my pension & doing what i enjoy would be pretty cool !
