Okay, well, on my new computer (it's almost 2-years-old), every time I try to turn it on, I get a message that says the computer has to shut down, and it will restart. So you know, I let it restart, but it keeps doing that! Like I get the message that says the computer is going to restart in one minute, and then when it restarts, I get the message again, and again. What do I do [to make the messages stop coming, and I can be able to enjoy my computer, again]??? Somebody PLEASE help!!! THANKS!!! I really appreciate any help!!!

(P.S. - I'm on the old computer right now)

Hi,
There is a virus that causes the computer to behave the way yours is behaving. You should run an antivirus scan. Then do an Internet search for the program HiJackThis. This is a program that tells experts what running on your computer. It shows good things and bad things. The experts will help you to fix what is wrong on your computer. After you download HiJackThis, please go to SuggestaFix.com to their Security area and then go to the Malicious Codes subforum. Then after you have registered and chosen a username and a password, you may start a new topic in this forum. Just type in the info that you typed here. Someone will contact you by e mail shortly after you post. Follow the instructions of the member(s). It may take a few days, but they will get your computer clean. They have done this for me on numerouse occasions. Good luck!!

Go immediately to SAFE MODE. You can do this by tapping the F8 key repeatedly when your computer starts to reboot. Once in run your spyware and anti virus protection. Hopefully this will clear up what seems to be a virus/spyware problem...

It sounds like you probably have some kind of a virus. If you have anti-virus software on your computer, do a full system scan, and see what happens. Hopefully, it'll get your computer back to normal.
Also, try a spyware scan. I use webroot. You can go to webroot.com and download a version of it.

READ THIS: It will sound familiar

This is a virus, my friend caught it one day... and it drove him (and me nuts).

You need to boot in safe mode (tap f8 a bunch of times when you turn in on... you'll get there).. safe mode with networking.

Then goto this website:

http://www.trendmicro.com/hc_intro/default.asp

Get a free virus scan/spyware.... you can go download "Hijack this", however I don't think you level of computer understanding will allow you to use that program effectively.

Are you on a broadband connection? Do you have a firewall on in Windows or are you behind a router. Do you get all the Windows updates when they tell you there are new ones? You should be able to answer yes, to all of these questions.

You are obviously NOT running one of the 800+ FREE and
Open Operating Systems, that are immune from the "114,000 Microsoft Virus Definitions"!

You can also start to think 'outside the box' that Microsoft and it's "trusted partners" created, and all the virus, malware, and trojans that you are expected to pay them to be protected from!

It certainly looks like you are another victim of the convicted felon Microsoft's protection racket!

I quit wasting my time trying to 'fix' the old Microsoft problems, in 1997, and never looked back.

It takes less time to simply click on the "INSTALL" Icon,
than to become a Microsoft Technician!

Go here, and never suffer again. This is for all Pentium Class computers of 350 Mhz and 256Mb RAM, or higher. Upto 50x faster, like the Mac! In fact, closely related. Like a Mac on your PC, without buying the hardware!

Hit f6 when it is starting to boot and boot into safe mode it sounds like a bad driver is forcing it to reboot. Inside the control panel you will find a checkmark for reboot on error uncheck this box. then reboot and this time press f6 and select step by step normal boot and see which driver is causing the problem.

Almost 2 is in no way new. Anyway, run a virus and spyware scan.
